     The Department of sanskrit has its existence since 1996. Sanskrit is an ancient and classical language of India in which ever first book of the world Rigveda was compiled. The study of Sanskrit provides a foundation in rich cultural and literary history of South Asia, both pre-modern and modern

VISION

     To be a leading center of excellence in Sanskrit studies, promoting the rich cultural heritage, academic rigor and holistic development of students.

MISSION

     To equip the students with a strong foundation in Sanskrit language literature and related disciplines. To ensure the continuity of the ancient language for future generations.
