Chaitanya Degree & PG College for Women was started in the year 1996 with the lofty idea of empowering the young women. It is one of the most reputed women’s college in Visakhapatnam. Under Sri Pooja Education Society the college has taken its birth and ventured to nourish  and bring out the true potential of the students for the past 26 years.

 A college is the vehicle that the youth rely on most to improve  knowledge and our college is an enormously efficient one with high standards of academic excellence. Our smart campus with spacious classrooms, well equipped science and computer laboratories, virtual and digital classrooms, well organized library supports and encourages students learning experience, CCTV surveillance and various other facilities are provided  to enrich the overall experience of our students in their academic journey.

Chaitanya Degree college is privileged in providing a vast platform of academic programmes in U.G & P.G as Science, Humanities and commerce.  Our teaching and learning process is constantly evolving with the changing times and the various programs offered by us in Degree and PG stimulates and motivates our students to realize their full potential and compliment their knowledge enriching experience.

Our students brought laurels in academics by winning the prestigious “PRATIBHA AWARDS” from the state government of Andhra Pradesh and Abul Kalam Azad meritorious awards issued by the trust. Not only in academics but our students are equally talented in Co-Curricular, Sports and extracurricular activities and some of them even proved their mettle in various competitions both at the state and national levels bringing accolades to our institution and bestowing the privilege of being the proud mentors of such talented students.

 At Chaitanya we understand the need for equipping the students with the necessary skills that  augment their employability and raise their potential by providing personality development classes, soft skills training programmes and campus recruitment training led by industry experts who help bridge the gap between the campus and the corporate by preparing the students to be job ready in campus placements, through imparting the right training and instilling confidence to face the corporate world. Concentric, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Capgemini and Cognizant are among the companies that are invited to the college’s placements drive and many of our students bagged placements in some of the best companies through these campus drives held in the college.

Our aim is to create worthy students who turn out to be not only successful citizens, but also good human beings with values who will go the extra mile to transform their world for the better. Campus to Community is the thrust area which is envisaged in promoting novel ideologies in a practical way. This thought has been executed effectively in many ways like organizing awareness programs for the community like Swachbharat, Water harvesting, Voter awareness and many other such programs initiated by our college through NSS and NCC to kindle the relationship between students to society and this thought of serving the society and bringing awareness through students will be carried out by our institution even in future in accordance with the evolving times.

 The College has a dedicated team of faculty members who work in myriad ways to maintain academic excellence and sustain the vision of the institution and the results of our students in UG and PG exams are a testimony to the concerted efforts of our benevolent management, dedicated faculty and committed administrative staff.
