ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Statistics department was established in the year 1997. The primary goal of our department is to provide best education, world class learning & research environment, adopt industry practices through industry collaborations and inculcate moral and ethical values.Organizes and conducts periodic all India economic sense and follow-up enterprise surveys, provides an in-house  facility to process the data collected through various socio economic surveys and follow-up enterprise surveys of economic censes.

As one of the leading statistics departments in the country and the only centre for advanced studies in statistics  under the UGC,CAS scheme ,the department of statistics will lead and excel by serving the state and nation in preparing the best statisticians of the country

The mission of the department of statistics is centre for advanced studies in statistics is to contribute to the overall objectives of through excellence in research and education in statistics.
