Women Development Cell
The Women Development Cell (WDC) in our college is an important initiative that focuses on empowering and promoting the welfare of students.The WDC provides a platform for students to voice their concerns and seek support in any mater related to their welfare, safety and empowerment.It also serves as a resource center for gender-related issues.Conducting various awareness programs,workshops and seminars that educate students on their rights,gender equality and social issues.The WDC plays a pivotal role in creating a safe and inclusive environment for our students,fostering a sense of community and belonging.

To empower women students by creating supportive community that promotes their physical, emotional and intellectual well being. we are committed to promote a gender-sensitive campus community that values and respects all individuals , regardless of gender identity and expression through education, awareness and advocacy programs.
Activities of WDC
1. Women Safety
Our college takes the safety and security of its students as top priority. To ensure a safe and welcoming environment, we have implemented a range of measures including the installation of CCTV Cameras, round-the-clock security personnel and an Anti Ragging Committee. we also have a mandatory identity card policy,along with an Aadhar based biometric attendance system that ensures accurate records and prevent unauthorized entry. we also offer self-defence and karate classes for students,to equip them with essential life skills. Our mentor mentee system provides personalized support and guidance to students,and we maintain a movement register to keep track of student movement with in the campus. we also have a complaint and suggestion box for students to voice their concerns, enabling us to address any issues promptly. These measures promote the well-being of our students, ensuring that they have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
2. Gender Equality
We are committed to promoting gender equality through various awareness-raising activities. These gender equality initiatives include workshops,seminars and awareness programmes that educate students on the laws and rights of women,enabling them to become informed and empowered citizens. We have encouraged our students to install Disha app, which provides a quick and easy way for student to report any instances of harassment or abuse. In addition,we have a dedicated discipline committee that oversees and address any gender related issues within the college,ensuring that our campus remains a safe and inclusive space for all.
3. Health and Hygiene Activities
We offer regular counselling,Yoga and meditation classes, and motivation classes, and motivational sessions to promote mental and emotional well-being of students. We conduct workshops on menstrual hygiene and provides regular visits from medical professionals. A common room for relaxation and a first aid/sick room is maintained to address any medical emergencies. By prioritizing such activities, we aim to create a supportive and nurturing environment that enables students to thrive academically and personally. We have installed a specialized sanitary pads incinerator in our college campus that ensures the safe and proper disposal of used sanitary pads. Being a women’s college this facility helped us to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation on our premises.
