The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth organization in India that was established 1948 with the aim of developing qualities of Leadership, discipline and secular outlook among young people. The NCC is managed by the Ministry of Defense, Government of India, and operate under the jurisdiction of the Indian armed force. Army, Navy and Air force.
“UNITY AND DISCIPLINE”
Enrollment in the National Cadet Caps (NCC) is open to candidates who are between 13 and 26 years of age and and meet certain physical and medical fitness requirements. Students can enroll by contacting the officer in charge of the local NCC Unit. Students also need to Undergo a selection process that includes a written test, an interviews and a medical examination.
Once selected the students are trained in various activities, including drill, weapons training. adventure activities, social service and community development programs. The NCC also provides opportunities for personal and leadership development, as well as the chance to represent India in national and international events.
