In view of designing a specialized ecosystem for innovations, we encourage our students and faculty to research, explore and use all available resources in order to learn something new. Innovation enhances education by challenging students and faculty to use higher order of thinking skills to complex problems. Innovation ecosystems foster on active flow of information and resources that enable ideas to become reality.
To meet this objective we organised following activities to inspire students and faculty towards creativity and innovation.
In order to explore and comprehend various innovative ideas that can aid in the establishment of an innovation ecosystem in future, our faculty member Mr.K.Jagadeeshwarao attended a regional meet of MOE’s, Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) on August 10, 2022 at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
The science department organises various intra collegiate events like science expos to promote students scientific temperament, innovative abilities, to galvanize ideas and foster a love for learning by doing. Students exhibit working models and projects that boosts their confidence, inventiveness and increases their readiness for the future.
The department of zoology conducts a research based project on study of toxic effects of metals in aquatic organisms as a part of their curriculum.
To ensure experimental learning, skill hub promotes maintenance of ecosystems, hydroponics and Azolla plantation, Vermicompost pit and Mushroom culture units in our college campus.
The commerce faculty and students often have industrial sojourns to industries at Visakhapatnam, to understand the real working mechanism and to learn the requisite skills. As a part of Industrial Tours students visit hindustan aeronautics limited (HAL), Zindal steel, soap factory, chocolate factory, coffee and tea plantations and apiculture farms at Banglore, Mysore, Ooty and Araku to develop H.R skills and Entrepreneurship skills in students.
To ignite students towards nature spark and for promoting conservation, we encourage them to visit Bio-diversity parks, Botanical gardens, Zoological parks, CMFRI and Krishi vignana Kendram.
The Eco club initiates students to understand the unique importance of natural resources by conducting various activities like plantation drive, drawing, poster making, etc on environmental awareness days.
To boost creative tempo in students the College hosts food festivals to showcase the culinary talents, to know the importance of traditional foods of their native regions and cultures. To enhance creativity in students, programs like “BEST OUT OF WASTE” are organized to create awareness on recycling and reusing of waste.
To explore academia, students and faculty are encouraged to participate in National and international seminars, workshops and conferences to enhance their skills in their field of interest.
